Programme Questions

The Bachelor in Business programme has a total duration of 3 years, and each year is run over two semesters: one in the fall that typically runs from October - the beginning of February and another in the Spring that typically runs from March - mid-June.

You will have classes on campus at ESEI in the mornings or afternoons depending on your academic term. Each module contains 36 teaching hours, taught over 12 weeks of classes. For the Top-Up Bachelor in Business Management with Anglia Ruskin University, the programme will be fully flexible fitting into your existing work / life schedule.

Students must attend at least 75% of all classes - in other words at least 18 out of 24 sessions. They cannot miss more than 25% of their classes for any reason. Absence will only be justified for observance of religious holidays. All medical appointments, family, commitments, etc.

Each module within the Bachelor in Business programme is generally assessed through 3 components: a midterm exam/assignment (half way through the course), a final exam/assignment (at the end of the course), and on how you participate in class throughout the course.

We are here to support you, from your first day in the Bachelor in Business programme until the day you graduate.
The Academic Department is there to help with any issues you may have with your studies or life in Barcelona. If you are struggling with certain subjects, on-site tutors can be arranged at an extra cost.

We know that sometimes it's hard to keep up with your studying, especially when you're juggling all the other things in your life. That's why we've made it as easy as possible for you to retake your modules.

Within the Bachelor in Business programme, you can retake all assignments to ensure you pass your modules. However, please note that if this occurs, your grade will be limited to a pass grade (40%). You will have two retake periods per academic year, one for the Fall semester and one for the Spring semester.

If needed, you can also repeat modules whenever they are running again in the academic calendar, but this will incur an additional module cost so try to avoid this!

At ESEI, we know that learning happens best in a small group setting. We have a policy of keeping our class sizes small to ensure that we can deliver personalised, hands-on learning and ensure that each student gets the attention they need to succeed. Classes are typically 10-25 students, but this number will vary by course and season. If you want more information about what class sizes look like for the programme you're interested in, just let us know!

Yes! Within the Bachelor in Business programme, you will have guest speakers in your discipline, and some of your course projects will happen in collaboration with a real business. Additionally ESEI runs guest speaker sessions throughout the year, some of which will focus specifically on Business and Management, and all of which will provide relevant insights for you. Furthemore, you will have visits open throughout the year to different local companies giving you insight into the Barcelona business landscape.

If you are looking for an internship within your Bachelor in Business programme, Barcelona is the perfect city to find one. There are many opportunities in various sectors, so you can find something that’s a perfect match for you! ESEI will post new internship offers on its digital platform regularly, but you should also attend some of the many networking events the city has to offer. It’s all about making connections and creating opportunities!

We offer assistance with finding internships with our dedicated Career Services team, who are in direct contact with companies and HR agencies and provide up-to-date internship opportunities. Find out more about our Career Services here.

General Questions

You can apply for the Bachelor in Business programme at any time during the year. However, because we have limited places, we do recommend that you start your application sooner rather than later to guarantee your spot.

Non-EU students that need a student visa to study in Spain should start their application at least 8 months in advance to make sure you get your visa in time for the start of classes.

We have a unique opportunity for students who are in their final year of secondary school or are waiting for their final High School diploma and final grades. In this case, you can apply for a conditional acceptance, which means that we can accept you into the Bachelor in Business programme before you complete your secondary school, however, you will need to provide us with your final academic records and diploma before the start of the Bachelor programme.

If you would like to apply for the Bachelor in Business Degree programme, but don't have a valid High School Diploma, we're here to help!

The first step is to take our intensive four-week Business Foundation course. This programme will prepare you for the rigours of studies at university level by providing you with the skills needed to succeed at ESEI. After successfully completing our Business Foundation programme, you'll be eligible to enrol in our Bachelor programme where you can earn your degree with confidence. This course normally takes place in August and January each year.

First of all, we want you to know that we want you here, too.
