Fall Intake 2022: Admissions Open!

ESEI offers a number of undergraduate study programmes which offer a layered learning approach, running from a foundation programme up to the bachelor level. We prepare you for a successful career in a wide range of industries.

You have the chance to complete a one-year L4 Diploma in Business and then a one-year L5 Advanced Diploma in Business. Both programmes run on-campus in Barcelona and consist of 8 x 36 hour taught modules, 4 per semester. The programmes are led by subject experts and active business professionals and the classes employ a combination of key theory and dynamic practice.

Assessment is carried out through a mixture of exams, assignments, projects and presentations, therefore preparing students for the reality of workplace expectations. Both Diplomas in Business are officially authorized by the Catalan department of education to provide education in accodance with the British educational system to Spanish and international students, under registration code 08075402.

Thanks to a partnership with the prestigious Anglia Ruskin University (ARU) in the United Kingdom, ESEI also offers the option of a pathway into ARU's L6 top up programme, which results in the completion and award of an official Bachelor in Business and Management from the UK. The majority of this programme is completely online with ARU, though ESEI does offer reinforcement classes on campus in Barcelona in order to support students who decide they wish to pursue the bachelor top-up year with ARU.

All of these programmes are taught entirely in English and will equip you with the theory and practical skills necessary to distinguish yourself in a competitive international job market. Upon completion of the L4 and L5 Diplomas in Business, you will earn an officially-recognised diploma from ESEI. If you choose to continue your studies, you can earn a private ESEI Diploma in a specialised business area of their choice (see the Business Specialisation Diplomas tab for more information), as well as an internationally-recognised bachelor's degree diploma from our UK partner Anglia Ruskin University. Our programmes are specially designed to help you combine studying with other opportunities in Barcelona and the wider world.

Why wait until you finish your degree, when some opportunities come only once?

“After studying the first two years of my bachelor at ESEI in Barcelona, I went to Anglia Ruskin University to finish my bachelor degree in their top up program, which was in Cambridge (UK) and lasted a year. The University was much larger than ESEI but there was a good combination between lectures and seminars. In the lectures there were large groups and in seminars it was focused on small working groups. I really liked the "UPCD modules" the school offers, which are are extra non-core courses you can follow. I took one in Leadership and Negotiation and learnt a lot. Aside from the academic programme, it was easy to find a room because ARU has many different campus accommodation options. Furthermore, there are over ten different kinds of sports teams you can join and during the first two weeks of university you can try out what you like. I joined the rowing team which was a lot of fun and a great way to meet people. I would definitely recommend the ARU Business Administration top up year over in the UK because the level of education is very good and there are so many additional opportunities.”

Level 4 and Level 5 Diplomas will be awarded by ESEI, though these are also fully recognized and authorized by the Catalan department of education. This ensures that students, parents, teachers and employers worldwide can be confident that qualifications and assessments meet rigorous quality standards.

For students who have completed Level 4 and 5 ESEI diplomas, they will have the opportunity to go on to complete an official bachelor top-up programme (1 year) that will give them a degree in Business and Management with the Univeristy of Anglia Ruskin in the UK, thanks to a pathway partnership between this prestigious university and ESEI. This programme is delivered, administred and issued by ARU, not ESEI.

If students decide to take this pathway, they will receive a valid UK degree, which is recognized and accepted by employers and institutions around the world.
