Learn about the volunteer movement in Barcelona.
Students from the Sports Management programme will meet with guest speakers Daniel Roman and Albert Baiges to learn, how the volunteer movement works in Barcelona. Focusing mainly on the great events in the city like The Barcelona Marathon.
ESEI students will have the opportunity to become volunteers for The Barcelona Marathon taking place on March 19th with Voluntaris 2000.
Voluntaris 2000
This is non-profit organization that was born in July 1992 with the desire to perpetuate the volunteering movement that arose on the occasion of the Barcelona Olympic Games ’92.
Since then, it has been taking shape as an association that participates in the public life of Barcelona and that actively collaborates in the preparation and organization of sporting, cultural, civic and social events, from the Festes de la Mercè to to world and European championships in different sports, including the TV3 Marathon and the Cavalcada de Kings.
The entity also provides management capacity and the mobilization of volunteers in occasional civic demonstrations of various kinds organized mainly by other entities.
