Between August 15 and 21, the neighborhood of Gràcia will once again celebrate its main festival. The event is returning to its pre-pandemic format and normality, with a program that includes more than 900 activities. The Gràcia Festival 2023 has been reinvented to be more family-friendly, inclusive, and free of sexist aggression, offering a wide range of activities for all ages while staying true to its values as a symbol of social cohesion and community.
Throughout the year, the Gràcia Main Festival Foundation and the Gràcia District have worked together to create a program that includes gender perspective activities and measures for people with disabilities, such as sign language and subtitles.
Organizing the festival represents the peak of the neighborhood’s associative life and is a way to express the utmost identity of Gràcia. This year, the new festive figure of the “Lleó de Gràcia” will be presented, and guided visits to the Clock Tower will be offered.
The former president of the Gràcia Main Festival Foundation, Carla Carbonell, is the pregonera (announcer) of the festivities, which will feature a total of 23 decorated streets.
On this website, you can also find information about the origins and values of the festival, enjoy historical photographs, and reminisce about previous editions.
Long live the Gràcia Main Festival!
