5 reasons to study Business at ESEI
Our Undergraduate Programme is unique for a number of reasons. Here’s why:
1. Gain in-depth knowledge of business
ESEI’s Undergraduate Business Programme prepares you for any kind of management and leadership role in business.
Our business diplomas
Our first-year L4 Diploma in Business, allows you to build your foundations in business, examine case studies, current events and work on practical tasks.
You will dive into the principles of leadership, economics, marketing, and strategy. You will also learn how to analyse, problem-solve and communicate your ideas effectively – real-world skills that you will use throughout your career.
Our second year L5 Advanced Diploma in Business will test your practical skills and creativity with innovative simulation projects and work outside the classroom.
In this year, you will build on your first-year knowledge and take control of your own learning. You’ll also participate in coaching and personal development sessions to help you develop and present your personal brand, distinguishing yourself in a competitive market, improving your job prospects and employability.
Our specialisation diplomas
If you have completed the L4 and L5 Diplomas in Business with us, you will have the opportunity to complete an additional 1-year specialised programme in one of the following areas:
We offer the following majors:
These programmes offer students the opportunity to specialise before the completion of bachelor-level studies.
They provide students with the chance to learn and gain experience in their interest area just two years after the completion of high school, thus allowing them to delve in sooner and start developing their career early on.
This in turn helps students stand out from the crowd in a competitive global job market.

2. The opportunity to receive a UK accreditation
If you wish to complete a third year, you have the option of a pathway into our UK L6 top up programme, which results in the completion and award of an official Bachelor in Business and Management from the UK.
The majority of this programme is completely online with Anglia Ruskin University (ARU). However, ESEI does offer reinforcement classes on campus in Barcelona in order to support students who decide they wish to pursue the bachelor top-up year with ARU.
So how will the third year work at this institution? Let’s take a look.
Anglia Ruskin University
Located in Cambridge, Anglia Ruskin University provides you with a specialised degree in Business Management.
During your third year at this University, you will take the following 4 modules:
- Strategic management
- Work-based major project
- Project impact and review
- Reflections on practice and career progression
The work-based major project allows you to mix theory and research with practical work experience. You will then reflect on this work through analysis and a presentation to lecturers at the end of the course.
This University offers the course fully online or on-campus.

3. The possibility to do an internship
We recognise the importance of doing practical work and internships early on in your professional career. And what better time to start than during your studies?
At ESEI, we are committed to providing you with a competitive advantage in the business world. To this end, we provide several opportunities for you to carry out practical work experience in the area that best suits your academic and professional interests.
During your studies, you will have the opportunity to connect with our wide network of leading multinational companies based in Barcelona – many of which are keen to offer our students internships. Some of our students who undertake internships with these institutions go on to work for them after graduation.
Furthermore, we have careers advisors at the school who can discuss your professional goals with you and help you find the best internships and work experiences.
4. A practical approach to learning
Our highest priority is to give our students the best learning experience possible. Therefore, we take a project-based learning (PBL) approach to teaching.
This approach aims to take the theory you have learnt in class and apply this knowledge to real-world projects. As our Head of Academics, Rosanna West, says “PBL connects students with the real world.”
You will have the opportunity to create your own business-related projects that focus on your particular areas of interest. You work with classmates to reach a common goal. From this, you will learn crucial work-related skills including collaboration, teamwork, project management, and design thinking.
Professors give students full autonomy, flexibility, and control over projects, but offer support and guidance when needed.
5. Our team of experienced professors
Our team of international professors come from diverse educational and cultural environments from around the world. They are all experts in their field with extensive academic, teaching, and professional backgrounds in several industries and sectors.
Their main objective is to share their knowledge with you and prepare the next generation of innovative business thinkers. Professors teaching our Undergraduate Programme include:
- Luca Delloro – after working for Unilever and Nestle, he founded his own Marketing Consultancy, Gold agency. He is also the founder of SportCom, a company dedicated to Sport Marketing in Europe.
- Ron Pfeil – has had a lifelong career as a teacher, skills-trainer and intercultural communication specialist.
