Laia Talarn is a dynamic sports marketing and communication specialist with a strong foundation in elite sport and strategic sport business roles. Before transitioning into her professional career, she was a high-performance judoka and has since built expertise in sports communication, marketing strategy and event delivery within major sports organisations.

Current Position

Freelance Consultant – Sports Marketing & Communication
Laia recently concluded her role as Director of Marketing and Communication at the Real Federación Española de Hockey, where she led communications, brand growth and digital strategy for Spanish hockey, including coverage of major international competitions and strategic projects. Since 2026 she has been working independently on new projects across the sports sector.

Sports Marketing & Communication – Strategic planning and delivery of integrated marketing and media campaigns for sports entities. 

Brand & Content Strategy – Creating impactful narratives and digital content to engage audiences and stakeholders across platforms. 

Event Communication & Operational Support – Experience in coordinating communication support for major events, including World Cups and European championships. 

Stakeholder Engagement – Collaborating with sponsors, athletes, federations and media to build long-term partnerships. 

Sports Industry Knowledge – Deep understanding of the evolving sport ecosystem, with a strong network across professional sports organisations.
