ESEI’s Admissions process is fast, easy and straightforward, and your spot can be secured within days of sending all the necessary documents.
In our selection, we use a holistic approach, looking at all elements of your application and above all your motivation and passion in pursuing a career in business!

BACHELOR PROGRAMME

To be part of the ESEI global community, please be prepared for the following steps:

· Application Submission

To begin the process, you will need to submit an online application form and attach all required documents.
You can also download our application form and send it by email to [email protected] including all required documents.

· Admission Interview

After all required documents have been received; we will send you an email requesting an admission interview.
It is important that you are reachable by phone at this stage.

Our interviews generally last for about 30 minutes, and is great opportunity to learn more about your motivation for choosing to study at ESEI, and answer any pending questions about the programme or student life.

· Enrolment Payment

You will learn about our admission decision a few days after your interview. If the decision is positive and you are offered a place to study at ESEI, you will be required to pay the initial enrolment fee / full payment to secure your spot and finalize your enrolment at ESEI.

It is important that you pay attention to the payment deadlines. We cannot guarantee your enrolment after the deadlines that will appear in your offer.

· Student Visa

If you are a non-EU citizen, you will be required to apply for a Spanish student visa to study in Spain.

It is important that you consult Spanish embassy in your country of residence for information about the procedure. You can also check the official website of the Spanish Ministry of Foreign Affairs for more information about visa procedures. ESEI Admission team will be happy to assist you with you with the process.

· Arriving at ESEI

Once your enrolment is confirmed and you have the necessary documents to move to Spain, you will need to prepare for your move to Barcelona to attend your programme at ESEI!

It is important that you arrive at the start of the programme and attend the immersion week, which will prepare you for the rest of your academic year!

ESEI’s admissions process works strictly on a “first-come, first-served basis”.
We receive applications all year round and advise that you start your application as early as possible to secure your place at ESEI.
Remember that we have limited places available in our programmes.

  • High School Diploma and transcripts for high school graduates
    • Provisional statement of results for students currently in final year of high school (to be considered for a conditional acceptance)
      • Transfer students only – Current Bachelor curriculum, academic transcript and learning outcomes
      • Mature Applicants only – CV in English, a detailed job description for at least two years and O-Level / IGCSE English and Maths certificate or equivalent

High School Diploma and Academic Transcripts

As a bachelor’s applicant, you must show successful completion of your secondary education from an accredited secondary school. This should include your high school diploma and last year transcripts including courses taken and grades achieved. There are no prerequisite subjects.

Documents must be issued in English language, and bear the stamp and signature of an authorized university official. An official translation will be required for documents issued in any language other than English.

Applicants currently in final year of High School – If you are in your final year of High School, you will be considered for a conditional acceptance and must present your provisional statement of results. Your final transcripts and high school diploma should be submitted before the start date of the programme.

Applicants transferring from another university – If you have started university in another institution and wish to transfer to ESEI, you will be required to send your current Bachelor curriculum, transcript and learning outcomes for each subject/module taken in your current institution in addition to your high school diploma and grades. ESEI will evaluate your case individually and inform you of the possibility of credit transfers.

ESEI will only accept transfer students into the first and second year of our Bachelor programmes. Transfers to the third and final year of our Bachelor programme will not be possible.

Employment History (mature applicants only)

Mature Applicants – ESEI accepts mature students who are able to demonstrate over two years of relevant work experience related to the qualification. You will be required to present your CV in English, a detailed job description during this period.

You will also be required to submit an O-Level / IGCSE English and Maths certificate or equivalent.

Proof of English Proficiency

You must be fluent in English to fully benefit from our programmes and internship opportunities.

If English is not your native language, we accept internationally recognized certificates such as IELTS (minimum requirement: 6.0) and TOEFL iBT (minimum requirement 78) as proof of your English proficiency.

If your previous education was conducted in English (at least 3 years), you will need to provide a certificate of studies in English to show your English proficiency.

If you have none of the above English experience / requirements, then you can take our ESEI English Level Test to assess your level. Based on your score, we will let you know if your level is adequate to follow our programme, or if we advise you to take an English preparation course at ESEI before starting the programme.

Statement of Purpose

Your motivation level will determine your success as a leader. This also applies to your studies at ESEI and your future/current professional career. Your statement of purpose your motivation letter telling us about your background, experience, why you have chosen to apply for the programme, why you consider yourself a good candidate and your future professional goals. Your statement should be at least 300 words in length.

Reference Letter

Someone who is able to comment on your academic/professional performance should write your letter of reference. This can be a professor who has taught you or a current / ex-exployer if you have work experience. The letter should include the referee’s relationship with you, how long they have known you, your abilities, and why they consider you a suitable candidate for the programme. Your reference letter should also include the contact details of your referee.

Bank Reference

You must show sufficient financial means to cover the tuition of your programme. We recommend that your bank statement (or that of your sponsor) show the funds available for tuition payments in your account at least 6 months prior to your application.

If you require a student visa to study in Spain, we recommend that you have additional funds to cover your living expenses in Spain. The requirement of the Spanish embassy is an average of 550€ per month. We recommend that you have a minimum of 700€ to live in Barcelona.

Copy of National ID/Passport

If you are an EU citizen, you can apply with a valid national ID card.

If you are a non-EU citizen, you must apply with a valid international passport valid for the duration of your passport. You will need to send the copy of the data page of your passport.

At ESEI, scholarships are a way of recognizing academic, professional and personal achievements of our students. You can apply for a scholarship if you meet the following requirements:

Academic ExcellenceAcademic Merit Scholarship for exceptionally talented and academically outstanding students from all around the world.

Requirement:
– Overall GPA requirement: 3.7/4.0
– An original 400-500 word essay on “Ways to achieve above and beyond in every sphere”

Good CitizenGood Citizen Scholarship recognizes the work of students who have shown outstanding leadership in humanitarian and development work.

Requirement:
– Proof of participation in non-paid or voluntary humanitarian project for at least 6 months
– An original 400-500 word essay on “What businesses can do for sustainable development”

Professional AthletesProfessional Athletes Scholarship for professional athletes from all around the world (past or present).

Requirement:
– Proof of professional sport activity
– An original 400-500 word essay on “What business leaders can learn from sports “

Leaders in BusinessLeadership in Business Scholarship recognizes the entrepreneurial journey of students who have started their own ventures, and those who have gained valuable professional experience within a business context.

Requirement:
– Business Owner for at least five years or ten years of work experience
– An original 400-500 word essay on “Life lessons from your entrepreneurial journey or professional experience”

Local StudentLocal Student Scholarship seeks to promote global business education within a local Spanish context by providing opportunities for local students to become part of ESEI’s international student body.

Requirement:
– Spanish Citizen or Permanent Residents in Spain
– An original 400-500 word essay discussing the “Global opportunities for Spanish businesses and entrepreneurs”

Scholarship applications must be received 8 months prior to the start of studies. Maximum scholarship awarded in each case is 10% of the programme tuition.

MASTERS PROGRAMME

To be part of the ESEI global community, please be prepared for the following steps:

As a master’s applicant, you must show successful completion of your undergraduate studies from an accredited higher education institution. This should include your bachelor degree certificate and final academic transcripts including courses taken and grades achieved. There are no prerequisite subjects for any of our Master programmes.

Documents must be issued in English language, and bear the stamp and signature of an authorized university official. An official translation will be required for documents issued in any language other than English.

Applicants currently in final year of Bachelor programme – If you are in your final year of Bachelor programme, you will be considered for a conditional acceptance and must present your current academic transcripts and/or provisional graduation certificate from your current institution.
